Leonardo Venture: Portfolio company NanoCompound announces insolvency

Mannheim (euro adhoc) - NanoCompound Holding AG has filed an application for the
opening of insolvency proceedings with Aachen District Court. These proceedings
concern both NanoCompound Holding AG and NanoCompound GmbH - both of which have
their registered office in Germany. A provisional insolvency administrator has
not been appointed yet. Currently the District Court is checking this
application.

Leonardo Venture GmbH & Co. KGaA has held a share in the NanoCompound Group
since May 2005. As detailed in the ad-hoc announcement of 19 November 2008,
Leonardo Venture has already written off in full its 37.05% holding in
NanoCompound. This step was necessitated by major problems in the company´s
corporate and business development, which resulted the depletion of liquidity.
